Musical group "Perkalaba" whose members represent: ethnos-punk group from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

Perkalaba group from Western Ukraine, playing Hutzul-ethno music. Perkalaba started her career in 1998 in Ivano-Frankovsk (Western Ukraine). At the time, Perkalaba was a ska punk oriented band, with some influences from reggae roots playing in the underground club scene.

The band later became much more rooted in Ukrainian Hutzul music. So the story begins...

Perkalaba toured all over Ukraine, performing at concerts in various clubs. In 2003, Perkalaba gave concerts in Sopot (Poland), Zhdinia (Poland), Amsterdam and Berlin and the Ekotopy 2003 (Sheshory) Mazepa Fest 2004 (Poltava) festival.

Perkalaba is named after the small village of Hutzul in the Carpathians, where the musicians of their Zion are symbolized. They are currently focusing their music on what they call the "roots of the Hutsul" - Perkalaba today faces a new future.

The group was opened at the "Festival of Rock Festivals" in Kiev (Ukraine). At the concert, it was obvious to the specialists that the group with such a dynamic and energetic interaction between the ensemble and the audience is a real diamond. The crowd loved Perkalaba in terms of their ethnic identity.

Perkalaba's music is inspired by a variety of ethnic music from all over the world, especially from different regions of Ukraine such as Hutsul, Bukovina and Transcarpathia. Other influences include punk music Pogues Shane McGowan, Element of Crime and from reggae bands and artists such as Bob Marley, Manu Chao, Skatalites. Following the success of Goran Bregovich, Bobana Markovica's Orchestra, Emir Kusturica's No Smoking Orchestra, this is the Ukrainian answer.

Perkalaba group, which is well known to everyone in Ukraine, Poland and other countries, which appear at all festivals related to folklore. If you haven't had the opportunity to see them yet, but you are also a fan of Ukrainian folk-rock, we recommend that you listen to them in full attention. Especially if you like folk punk. Like many Ukrainian artists, their music is of high quality. As many eyewitnesses say, even today this group is already capable of waking up an audience of many thousands, and their music has spread like wild fire.

There is energy without limits, and it is known for sure that the band excites even those who do not really like this kind of music, and this fact speaks for itself. Different epithets can be used. Well roasted, so yellow it looks black, flashing dry salty knitting needles, quick green pressure, a joker's reflection in the mirror. In other words, both musical torpedoes and songs that can be called ballads are presented here. The musical collective of the "Perkalaba" group performs their songs with genuine sincerity and incendiary fireworks of musical revolutions, which indescribably pleases their fans and other admirers of a similar style in music.
